Original John Root Framed Painting- Millenium 1999

The painting is 11 inches by 14 inches with a frame 13 inches by 16 inches.

This colorful artist signed mixed media painting on wood by John Root ( John Root Hopkins) is an original, not a print.

John was known for selling reproductions of his original paintings.  I purchased two original paintings from him in 2000. This one is signed in the painting and on the back , copyright '99.

   The scene shows a Millenium party completely populated by pigs.  Happy New Year, Happy Y2K. They are dancing, playing in the band...all pigs all the time. As an artist who loves pigs and uses them in my own art work, this was a no brainer addition to my folk art collection.
