St. Michaels, MD is a quaint Eastern Shore tourist destination just up the road from the Pigsley abode in Tilghman where it functions as a traffic bottleneck for worshipers trying to reach the Pigsley shrine.
St. Michaels, also known as The Town That Fooled The British (an early PR invention it is rumored), is constantly awash in tourists strolling, noshing, gawking, browsing, shopping, eating, snacking, buying tourist essentials and enjoying the ambiance of excessive quaintness. If Miss Pigsley could tear herself away from her pressing duties at the shrine she would be happily partaking of the wonders with the rest of them.
